Aim : Holistic Development

To support and work closely with parents/care takers in partnership to meet the needs of the child.
To provide facilities and opportunities to children under one roof for their mental, physical and social development.
To help them develop holistically and to sensitize them to the world around.

Our Understanding / Our Philosophy:

At Madan’s Public School, Early Years, We provide child friendly and encouraging environment away from home.

We have thoughtfully designed place, space and material as these are vital for a child’s growth.

We offer excellent opportunities for children, where in the approach revolves around child care full of love, warmth, comfort and exploration.

The child is first made comfortable, given enough time and space to get known and accustomed to and then is introduced to the regular activities of the program.

Children deserve to be in the safest and most amiable environment where in they can spread their wings to be themselves. At our school we understand their interest and disinterest and let them discover and learn at their pace.

Methodology & Pedagogy

  • Play Group & Nursery
  • Stage 1 – Play

Comfort and Familiarization:-

As we know, this is the first experience of the child to be away from parents for certain duration, so we usually focus on comfort and familiarization at the initial stage.

We sometimes, request parents to devote a little time in school to ensure the happiness of the child for settling period.

  • Stage 2 – Pal

Exploring and enjoying

Once the child has learnt to be away and has grown comfortable with, we let the child to explore the world of  toys, games, educational aids and be with friends. We make sure the questions and needs of the child at the time of exploration and enjoying are addressed to the best possible.

  • Stage 3 – Pre Study

Introducing concept while having fun

This is the stage when children are introduced to activities which mainly deal with Fine and Gross motor skills. Also each month a theme is taken to carry out the learning of environment and world around us. Slowly, the games involving pre numerical and pre reading skills are introduced. Sand playtime further brings good fun for pre writing skills.

Primary Wing :

  • Stage 1- Play – Pal

Welcoming and getting to know

Children are welcomed and given good time to grow comfortable with adults , peers and environment around. They are given the freedom to select the toys , books , educational tools of their interest and be engaged. They are encouraged to be themselves.

  • Stage 2 – Pal – Pre Study

Learning while enjoying

Once they grow confident of the surrounding around, they are gradually introduced to the concept of learning while playing and having fun. They work as part of the group and independently. They learn to seek help where needed. They are given the space to explore new learning and show ability to initiate new ideas and to solve simple practical problems. Each month is designated to a theme from curriculum designed. They are made to know and learn about language (Hindi/English), Mathematics, Environmental science, and General Awareness.  With the curriculum runs parallel the celebrations and activities ( art and craft , dance , music, physical education)

  • Stage 3 – Pre Study

Application

The most important stage is this where in related activities, created situations, oral, display and communication are woven and put into action. This is the stage where they practically apply and display the concept understood. Lots of activities, celebrations, informal assessments are taken to reinforce the concept covered. This is also the most colorful stage.

Informal observations and Assessments:

We closely observe children, mark their actions , understand their thoughts and give them that extra push required to fly. Each observation done by a teacher or a parent is counted as an informal assessment.

Teachers will be regularly making a record of any 3 such observations in a month and the same would be informed/shared with the parents.

Teacher Children Ratio :

Your Child is special to us. Our classrooms are spacious and filled with bright child friendly furniture and wonderful age appropriate resources.

The teacher -class ratio is 1:25, where each child is given due attention and support. There is also a supporting staff with the teacher.

Note:  Each Child’s progress is at different rate and individual achievements vary. However, all children are encouraged to make maximum progress towards these early learning goals.
